St. Andrews is a vibrant, active town year-round. The time frame of your visit should coincide with the activities you want to pursue. Here are the general dates for some of our favourite activities:
Most successful from June to October, although marine wildlife is also plentiful in May.
Gardens: From the well kept lawns and flower beds of the town to the 27-acre Kingsbrae Garden in the middle of town, blooming season tends to be from May to October.
Festivals: Paddlefest - the first weekend in May, brings together a love out the outdoors and music with bands playing in venues throughout the town in the evenings, and kayaking excursions through the day. St. Andrews Seafood Festival - in early June, Experience New Brunswick Seafood as you Never Have Before! Get out on a boat and see where it all begins. Watch and learn as some of New Brunswick’s top chefs and their friends show you how to cook like a pro. Take in the biggest Seafood Feast ever at Katy’s Cove, enjoy a cup of chowder in a cafe or indulge in a gourmet meal at one of our amazing restaurants.
Canada Day - celebrate Canada Day like no other Canadian town with closed streets for markets, vendors, games, parade, events and more! (download events poster)
New Brunswick Day - a provincial holiday much celebrated in St. Andrews, is on the August long weekend of each year. Indulge - A Taste of St. Andrews, our Fall Culinary Festival Shopping – see the Retail directory for months of operation for each shop.
